LAIBTS is a division of IBTS, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit service corporation formed by various governmental entities with the specific mission of providing unbiased technical and professional building code compliance services directly to, or on behalf of, government agencies at all levels. LAIBTS is available to offer building code compliance, plan review, inspection, training and other technical services to all parishes, jurisdictions and private parties in the state. With over 30 years of experience providing these services and oversight for the housing and construction industry throughout the United States, we boast the greatest level of capability and experience available to satisfy the needs of Louisiana.
As a reputable and nationwide technical services provider, IBTS has the capacity and commitment to attract and retain highly qualified and experienced personnel. IBTS staff members hold an extremely wide range of certifications and professional licenses, and the average IBTS inspector has fifteen years of experience. IBTS has a nationwide staff of over 120, and works with more than 40 of the industry's most respected and knowledgeable consultants, including engineers, architects, plan reviewers, inspectors, trainers and energy and regulatory specialists.
