April, 2008 – Louisiana IBTS has been awarded a 'Clerk of the Works contract' to assist the Madison Parish School Board in the administration of construction contracts. Madison Parish is looking to build a new 185,000 sq. ft. high school and middle school campus in Tallulah, Louisiana. The project consists of 11 buildings and a football stadium. The project has a two-year time table, and construction is already underway. IBTS will provide the School Board with multiple services, including:
- On-site progress and quality observations of the work.
- Monitoring and assessment of construction schedules, with attention to identification of project delays.
- Assist the Owner and Architect with change orders and drawings.
- Observe construction tests as required by specifications.
- Maintain construction and site records in an orderly manner.
- Maintain a logbook of site activities.
- Assist with site product data and any construction sample tracking.
- Monitor the contractor’s records to ensure use of correct documents.
- Provide invoice and payment review after Architect approval.
- Verify Certificates of Substantial Completion.
IBTS has appointed Larry Walters, C.B.O. to function as the primary staff for this project. During this two-year project, Mr. Walters will be responsible for providing the required deliverables and reporting the progress of construction to the School Board on a monthly basis.
